Vitamin B1, or thiamine, is an organic compound belonging to the group of amines, first isolated in 1911 by Kazimierz Funk - a Polish biochemist and founder of the science of vitamins.

Thiamin, as a vitamin, is an essential component for the proper functioning of the body and the maintenance of life processes. It is a cofactor (coenzyme) of many enzymes, such as transketolase, pyruvate dehydrogenase or α-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase, thus participating in important metabolic pathways and processes in the body, mainly related to the production and metabolism of energy (Krebs cycle), synthesis of nucleic acids (synthesis of ribose) and the proper functioning of the nervous system.

Aliness Vitamin B1 DUO is a dietary supplement containing two forms of thiamine - active and bioavailable pyrophosphate and inactive hydrochloride. This solution offers an advantage over other products based solely on the inactive form, since the thiamine pyrophosphate present in the product is immediately ready for action, while the conventional thiamine hydrochloride is released and converted to the active form slowly. Thanks to the use of two forms, vitamin B1 contained in the product is characterized by better bioavailability, and the rate of its release and absorption is optimal.
Aliness Vitamin B1 DUO is the maximum dose of thiamine - one tablet contains as much as 100 mg of vitamin B1 in the form of a complex of active thiamine pyrophosphate and thiamine hydrochloride.
Aliness Vitamin B1 DUO does not contain any animal ingredients, making it a product suitable for vegans.
