Resveratrol mimics the effect of calorie restriction by activating the sirtuin group of proteins and has shown promise in clinical studies by attenuating the effects of several age-related conditions. Quercetin phytosome also enhances sirtuin activity – research indicates that it slows the breakdown of resveratrol in the body. ResveraCel contains nicotinamide riboside – the most efficient direct precursor to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+).
