What is goldenrod?
European goldenrod (Solidago virgaurea L.) is a perennial plant belonging to the Asteraceae family, found naturally in Asia and Europe, including Poland, where it grows in clearings, broadleaved forests and heathlands. Due to the presence of numerous compounds with pro-health effects, goldenrod herb has been valued and willingly used for years.

An extract from goldenrod herb is a source of many biologically active components which show positive effects. These include high amounts of flavonoids - mainly rutin and quercetin, phenolic acids and polyphenols - such as caffeic acid and chlorogenic acid as well as saponins, tannins and essential oils.

How does goldenrod work?
Active ingredients contained in goldenrod have a diuretic effect, improving the excretion of water and undesired substances contained in it, as well as improving the functioning of the kidneys and the entire urinary system. Moreover, goldenrod improves physical well-being and, thanks to its antioxidant properties, protects body cells against free radicals.

What is the strength and origin of the extract?
When planning supplementation, it is worth paying attention not only to the strength of the extract, but also to its origin. Manufacturers of some supplements use goldenrod extracts of unknown, often Chinese origin.

The extract contained in our product has been produced from start to finish in Poland, from herbs sourced exclusively from Polish cultivation and has a high DER of 10:1, which means that 1000 mg of dried goldenrod herb has been used to obtain 100 mg of the extract.
