Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is one of the key antioxidant enzymes. It catalyses the dismutation reaction of the superoxide anion to hydrogen peroxide and thus prevents the formation of other toxic free radicals and their derivatives. It occurs naturally in the human body, mainly in liver cells.

TetraSOD® is a unique marine ingredient, grown according to a patent-protected technology. It contains SOD in the highest concentration currently available on the market (30,000 IU / g). TetraSOD® consists of catalase (CAT) and glutathione peroxidases (GPx), which together with SOD constitute a natural barrier against oxidative stress.
