ForMeds LIPOCAPS B12 (Vitamin B12) 120 capsules

LIPOCAPS B12 is a pure liposomal vitamin B12 enclosed in an acid-resistant delayed-release capsule.

Delayed release: Studies have confirmed that the capsule used in LIPOCAPS B12 protects liposomes up to 4 hours from the unfavorable stomach environment.

A really clean composition: LIPOCAPS B12 does not contain, inter alia, artificial additives, preservatives, alcohol and sweeteners. Additionally, it does not require refrigeration. The production technology was developed in cooperation with the Medical University of Warsaw.

High dose: 100 µg (4,000%) of vitamin B12 in active, methylated form

Liposomal vitamin B12 is enclosed in tiny, water-lipid vesicles called liposomes.
This vitamin is highly digestible and to a small extent excreted from the body, which is important in the case of an increased demand for vitamin B12.

The effectiveness of liposomes results from their small size and their similar structure to the structure of the intestinal cell membrane, which facilitates the penetration of the substance contained in the liposomes.

The stability of liposomes and their protection against the unfavorable stomach environment plays an important role. The average residence time of the contents in the stomach is 2 to 4 hours. During this time, liposomes can be destroyed or aggregate (aggregation into large clusters). The size of the liposomes also affects their bioavailability - the larger the liposomes, the more difficult the absorption.

LIPOCAPS B12 is an innovative, dry form of liposome:
- stable, small,
- additionally enclosed in an acid-resistant delayed-release capsule.

Studies have confirmed that the capsule contained in LIPOCAPS B12 protects liposomes for up to 4 hours in the stomach environment, while in the intestine it releases them very quickly (up to 12-20 minutes). The other capsules would disintegrate very quickly in the stomach, releasing liposomes there and putting them at risk of destruction.
