Our preparation presents the latest achievements in the field of technology and production of probiotic supplements. It consists of 2 strains of probiotic bacteria, carefully cultivated and prepared by a world expert in the field of probiotics: Chr. Hansen. During the production process, consisting in the freeze-drying of bacterial strains (thanks to which they can be stored outside the refrigerator), special cryoprotectants are used to protect them and extend their stability.

1. Lactobacillus acidophilus (LA-5®)
It is a strain of bacteria belonging to the genus Lactobacillus - lactic acid bacteria. As the Latin name of the species suggests (Latin "acidophilus") - these are bacteria that prefer an acidic environment - often below pH 5.0.1

Described in over 150 scientific publications and tested in more than 60 clinical trials2, it is one of the best-known probiotic strains of this type.

2. Bifidobacterium animalis, subsp. lactis (BB-12®)
A bacterial strain belonging to the genus Bifidobacterium - anaerobic bacteria, often forming branched colonies, found in the digestive tract of mammals, including humans.

Used since 1985 in food and nutritional supplements worldwide. Bifidobacterium, BB-12® received the GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) status in the USA, awarded by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), while the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) granted Bifidobacterium animalis the QPS status (Quilified Presumption of Safety), confirming the safety of this species of probiotic bacteria3.

Clinical trials with this strain have confirmed its effect on reducing the incidence of diarrhea in infants below 8 months of age. and reduction of its duration (100 million / day CFU B. lactis BB-12® in modified milk for 4.5 months) 4. Moreover, they showed high in vitro tolerance of strain BB-12® to hydrochloric acid and bile compared to other strains of the genus Bifidobacterium5.
