Vitamin D:
Vitamin D comes from lanolin, which is used to obtain 7-Dehydrocholesterol - an organic derivative of cholesterol.
7-Dehydrocholesterol is a starting compound for the production of cholecalciferol. As a result of production processes, vitamin D is obtained in the same way as in human - that is, by skin exposure to the sun.
Vitamin K Vitamk7 is in the European Union on the lists of so-called Novell Food. In order to sell vitamin K in the EU, a manufacturer should have the appropriate permission issued by EFSA.
VitaMk7 has been entered on the Novell Food list under heading 209 as a natural, safe and bioactive for use in food supplements.
More about vitamin K
Vitamin K1 (phylloquinone) and vitamin K2 (menaquinone) are the two most important forms of vitamin K found in food. Vitamin K1 can be found in green leafy vegetables, spinach, broccoli, etc. Vitamin K contributes to normal blood clotting.
Vitamin K2 is found in high concentration in natto - a traditional Japanese dish and is much better absorbed by the body than vitamin K1. Finally, vitamin K2 has no connection with soy, because in a laboratory way vitamin K2 is obtained with the help of bacteria Bacillus subtilis natto, i.e. these are the bacteria found in the dish called natto.
It can be easily found on the market that vitamin K2 in supplements comes from soy - that is, from the Japanese dish called "Natto" - this information is not true, indicating the lack of knowledge of the selling companies, and often even those producing vitamin K2.
Vitamin K2 approved for use in food supplements comes from bacterial biofermentation. Most often using two bacterial strains: Bacillus subtilis natto and less popular and unchecked Bacillus licheniformis (no scientific publications).
Vitamin K is initially transported to the liver and then to the bones and walls of the arterial vessels, where it can accumulate due to its better bioavailability and longer half-life, thanks to which it plays an important role in maintaining strong bones,
Vitamin K in the patented form VitaMK7® is a natural source of vitamin K obtained from natto, very well absorbed, tested and documented by EFSA (European Food Safety Authority)
