The role of macrophages in the body
Macrophages are the first line of the immune system - it destroys pathogens, is responsible for catching any adverse changes in the body, viruses, bacteria, cancer cells. In order for them to fulfill their defensive functions, they must be activated. Beta glucan is the most effective macrophage activator found in nature (it also activates T cells). Macrophage activity is maintained for 72 hours after beta glucan use. Activated macrophages also produce cytokines that, in addition to further stimulating the immune system and its regulation, are able to increase bone marrow production. *
