How to take care of our immune system?

Autumn and winter weather changes have a negative impact on ourbody and immunity. For this reason, we suffer from more and more infections, and we also feel significant fatigue. Fortunately, there are vitamins and minerals that can be a remedy for the above problems. All beneficial substances can be found not only in dietary supplements, but also in food.

WHAT VITAMINS ARE BEST FOR IMMUNITY?

Our diet during the autumn and winter periods is sometimes poor in fruits and vegetables. Immunity is weakened, and if we add weather changes and inappropriate clothing, there is a high probability of catching an infection. For this reason, it is worth taking a closer look at the vitamins and mineralsthat take care of the metabolic processes of our body.

The most popular vitamin on the Polish pharmaceutical market is vitamin C. This is due to the fact that it is responsible for the growth and efficiency of immune cells. Vitamin C works stimulating the development of white blood cells and also fights microorganisms. As an exemplary antioxidant, it removes free radicals very well and delays the aging process. We can find it in popular citrus fruits, parsley, peppers, tomatoes and broccoli.

Another vitamin worth attention is vitamin B6. It is responsible for the creation of antibodies, improving immunity, improving the nervous system, regulating blood pressure and the functioning of muscles and heart. Its occurrence has been confirmed in buckwheat, meat, fish, cold cuts, nuts and other legume seeds.

Respiratory diseases are the most common symptoms resulting from weakened immunity. In such a case, vitamins A and E will be perfect. They are important for the sense of sight and skin health Both vitamin A and E belong to the group of antioxidants, which protect the body against early aging. In addition, vitamin E has an anticoagulant effect and influences muscle performance. Vitamin A can certainly be found in offal, meat, milk, carrots, red peppers and fruits. Vitamin E occurs naturally in all nuts and oils, green peppers, as well as fish and fruits.

There is also a vitamin that is produced in our body thanks to the sun, whose rays are absorbed by our skin. For this reasonVitamin Dis also known as the “sunshine vitamin”.  It has been proven that its effect has a very good effect on our immunity, bones, nervous system and regulation of blood sugar levels. By stimulating T lymphocytes, vitamin D effectively accelerates the return to health of the diseased body. Products rich in this vitamin include: milk, yellow cheese, fish.

WHAT MICROELEMENTS STRENGTHEN OUR IMMUNITY?

In addition to vitamins, it is worth taking care of the appropriate dose of microelements, which work in symbiosis with vitamins and together help take care of our immunity.

One of the most popular microelements is Zinc, which protects our immunity against all infections and soothes the first symptoms of a cold, i.e. hoarseness, runny nose and cough. We can find it naturally in buckwheat, nuts, beans, garlic, oysters and cabbage. Unfortunately, at the moment its concentration in natural ingredients is too low, so it is worth using dietary supplements that contain it.

As an effective microelement, it is worth mentioning Iron, which protects red blood cells against loss, improves the overall efficiency of the body, and increases resistance to colds. Its deficiency will not only result in increased exposure to infection, but may even lead toanemia, dizziness or irregular heartbeat. It naturally occurs in beets, lentils, soybeans, spinach , Brussels sprouts, chives, eggs and breakfast cereals.

Magnesium is a very necessary element in our body. It is responsible for the production of energy, which is needed in all life processes of the body. Its scope of operation is very wide and includes, among others: improving the functioning of the immune system, shortening the duration of illness, supporting the development of bones and their mineralization. We can find it in cocoa, chocolate, almonds, buckwheat and bananas.

WHAT VITAMINS ARE BEST FOR CHILDREN?

The first years a child's life is a challenge to his weakened immune system. It takes about 12 years for each person to fully develop the immune system After this period, the child's body produces enough antibodies to cope with basicinfections. Before reaches this point, almost every child is at risk ofcolds and infections. Kindergartens that concentrate all bacteria from each child in one closed room do not help in the fight against diseases. A problematic issue is the excessive use of antibiotic therapy in children, which disturbs the natural intestinal flora along with bacteria. Immunity is also damaged by currentfood, which is many times processed, lack of exercise and stress. For this reason, it is recommended to takevitamins and mineralsthat are not supplied in sufficient amounts through the diet.

The signals that indicate that a child'simmunity is weakened vary. The basic symptoms are: a large number ofupper respiratory tract infections (over 8 cases per year), sinusitis at least twice a year, the use ofantibiotics  at one time for 2 months and without any significant improvement, weight loss and skin infections.

The best vitamins and minerals that will help strengthen your child's immunity are:

• vitamin C
• vitamin A
• vitamin B6
• vitamin E

WHAT VITAMINS WILL BE EFFECTIVE FOR ADULTS?

Adult humans have a fully developedimmune system, Therefore, the causes of his immune disorders will be different than in children. The most common immune disorders result from antibiotic therapy, fatigue, poor hygiene habits, alcohol abuse and cancer. Symptoms of immune disorders in adults will includeskin infections, muscle and body weakness, and skeletal system diseases.

The bestvitamins and minerals for adultsare vitamins similar to those recommended for children, i.e. vitaminA, VitaminC, Vitamin E and B6, as well as zinc. An adult should take a higher concentration of the above vitamins than a child would take. For this reason, dietary supplements and their effectiveness – they will be completely different.

It is worth taking specific actions and exercises that will help us take care of our immunity and the functioning of the immune system. The basis of a healthy body is always a proper diet. In this case it is exactly the same. You should avoid processed products and eat those thatstrengthen our intestinal bacterial flora(e.g. buttermilk, cheese, yogurt).

In addition to diet, it is also worth practicing sports that will strengthen our body.
An extremely important issue is giving up stimulants and guaranteeing yourself an adequate amount of sleep. Both elements will ensure full regeneration of the body, which will prevent exposure to infections strong>. It is worth supplementing all the above-mentioned activities with effective supplementation, which will provide our body with a sufficient amount of appropriate vitamins, which we will not be able to obtain through food.

Wealth vitamins and minerals are provided bybulb vegetables. This type of vegetables includes onion, chives and leek. They contain not only sulfur compounds, but also vitamins A, C, E and B vitamins. They contain the following minerals: sulfur, iron, selenium and magnesium. An interesting fact is that garlic and onion contain phytoncides that have bactericidal and fungicidal properties.

A little-known form of food aresilages. Pickling products itself is a natural method of preserving food. As a result of pickling, simple sugars turn into lactic acid.  The above acid leads to the production of intestinal bacteria and prevents the development of putrefactive bacteria. The above-mentioned processes lead to a change in the microflora, which results inincreased immunity.  When probiotic strains ferment, vitamin C is produced. For this reason, products that are pickled contain more vitamin C than products that have not undergone such transformation.

Fermented milk products containlactic acid bacteria.  These types of bacteria inhibit the development of pathogens and also lead to the growth of intestinal microflora. Due to the easy access and good taste of these products, they should be included in our daily diet. Regardless of whether we consume kefir, yogurt or buttermilk, our body will certainly increase its ability to defend the intestines' immune defense.
Ensuring appropriate intestinal bacterial flora will certainly improve the functioning and immunity of the entire body.

Food alone may not be enough to support our immunity. Let us remember that vitamin D3 is produced in our body thanks to UV rays.  This is its best source. Unfortunately, due to frequent work, “behind the desk” our body does not produce much of it. Research has been carried out on the production of vitamin D3 using sunlight. It has been established that in Poland its best absorption occurs in the period from April to September and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
At this time, most people are at work, so it is worth supporting our body with appropriate supplements, which can be found at mass-zone.eu.

Investing money in vitamins and minerals is a much better choice than paying for medicines and antibiotics due to the lack of immunity.
