Dietary supplement MOS Mannan-oligosaccharides is a preparation containing mannan-oligosaccharides, in the form of unflavoured powder.
Mannan-oligosaccharides come from Amorphophallus konjac - an Asian plant that also produces low-carbohydrate konjac noodles. MOSs are not digested by enzymes in the digestive tract, but are hydrolyzed by the enzymes of symbiotic microflora (friendly, cooperating with us). In this process, short- and medium-chain fatty acids (propionic, butyric, caprylic, capric) are released, which lower the pH of the large intestine, stimulate peristalsis, preventing intestinal atony.
