SOLGAR Advanced 40+ Acidophilus 60 Vegetarian Capsules

Solgar® Advanced 40+ Acidophilus is a source of beneficial microorganisms L. acidophilus, L. rhamnosus, L. paracasei, B. lactis and S. thermophilus. This product is formulated with the known strains LA-5®, LGG®, L. casei 431®, BB-12® and TH-4®, helping to maintain a healthy intestinal flora.

Bacterial strains offered by Solgar are made from the first passage.

The bacterial strains used by Solgar are resistant to high levels of gastric acidity, but in order to obtain additional protection for the products in this series, microencapsulated polysaccharide matrix encapsulation was used, which increases their survival in the digestive system.
The capsule dissolves very quickly and the polysaccharide gel in the capsule forms a protective matrix around the bacteria. This gel is resistant to gastric acid and dissolves only in the less acidic environment of the duodenum, in which bacteria are released so that they perform their function in the digestive tract.
The new strains were tested in an acidic environment similar to that found in the stomach and found to last for two hours.

Unlike ordinary probiotics, they can therefore be taken with food.
