Description

Propolis, also called bee putty, is the result of mixing bee saliva containing specific enzymes with the resin of various flowers and trees. It has a dark yellow, orange to brown colour and a sour and bitter taste. Propolis is the most important hygienic agent in the hive, protecting the bees from bacteria, viruses
It protects the bees against bacteria, viruses and fungi and serves, among other things, to fix the combs and seal all openings.

Wealth of active substances
As many as 300 active substances have so far been discovered in propolis, among which the most important are phenolic acids, benzoic acid, cinnamic acid
and flavonoids. Bee putty also contains vitamins B1, B2, B6, C and E, minerals such as calcium, magnesium, zinc, manganese, copper, iron, cobalt and selenium, as well as many enzymes.

A daily serving of the extract corresponds to the consumption of 3040 mg of powdered propolis
1 kg of propolis is equivalent to 25 kg of honey
